It also provides information and resources on 2SLGBTQ+ identities and issues related to child welfare, with a focus on 2SLGBTQ+ young people.

This guide uses the acronym “2SLGBTQ+” which is an abbreviated acronym that does not fully capture the incredible diversity of queer communities. The letters in this acronym stand for Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning, respectively. The plus sign at the end is used to indicate that the acronym does not fully represent all gender and sexual identities.
